SKYNET - Servis Courier Ala Siput.

My package which was sent on 4th November dari Kelantan tak nampak bayang sampai ke saat ini (5.19pm 9/11/2011). Okay bersangka baik, mungkin 4 dengan 5 November sebok nak cuti raya. Bila call tanya status, manjang la nak call back tapi har** takde nak call back pun. Okay sebelum tu memang ada kesilapan address. Dah dibetulkan semalam dan dah berjanji setia benda tu sampai today before 5.30pm. Takkan dari where-ever your place is (tapi sangat sure in KL), nak sampai ke Bangsar pun sampai 2-3 hari? Ni korang ikat pakej tu kat siput ke?

And today, 9th November, banyak lah alasan. Rider takde lah. Rider barulah. Dah nak baliklah. Tak sempatlah. Ofis haku jauhlah.

Halloo!! Dah tulis kat address tu kan? Ikut je lah address tu. Dah bayar pun, bukannya free. Nak meniaga buat cara nak meniaga. Ni meniaga ikut pesen dia. Bukan ikut apa yang dijanjikan dengan customer.

Untuk makluman, after all those 'barang dah kluar' (kalau dah kluar pesal nak tanya barang tu besar mana? you should know better barang tu besar mana), nanti saya call balik (but never called back..), you think I want to believe semua alasan tu? Even so, it's not my problem okay. Kalau janji benda tu sampai today, ianya should sampai today. Rider mogok, not my problem. Rider malas, not my problem. Benda tu sebesar meja kopi sekalipun, not my problem. Sebab it is a promise already to get my thing from there to here.

I am giving sampai kol 6.00 ptg only. This is the latest janji ntah apa-apa from SKYNET.

Sapa keje kat SKYNET? Apa komen anda?

Bebelan Kak Mon on Interview

Adoilah..

Nanti-nanti kalau korang nampak blog ni senyap sunyi dan sepi, sila tanya 'Kak Mon tak mau tutup blog ke?' Laju pulak mem-blog ha ha.

Anyway, ni pun one of my vent-out session. Stress okay.

For the past 3-4 years (diskaun setahun cuti, jadilah 2-3 tahun yer), my job requires me, at times, to be panel of interview for new recruitment, rectuitment after upgrading and whatnots. Bukan peringkat tertinggi yer pasal ai pun level-level gitu-gitu ajer. Takkan lah level-level ai nak interview orang yang nak jadi GM pulak kan.

There's a few things that bothers me. Why? Interview is very much like a first impression. Cam korang nak jumpa bakal mertua. Takkan nak pakai jeans ketat walaupun memang everyday itulah pakaian u ols kan. Kenalah sopan santun penuh adab. Unless your bakal inlaws pun memang pakai jeans sendat, I can't say much la kan. Ingat tau pepatah 'first impression is often lasting'.

Off track?

Okay, back to the topic.

I am participating as a panel for few times now and I feel banyak calon yang fail to pay attention to the details. Contohnya, kalau borang yang very straight forward pun tak boleh nak isi betul-betul, how can we entrust you dengan kerja-kerja pejabat yang jauh lebih kompleks? Or when you klik-klik kat online form, silalah klik betul-betul. I just can't accept 'eh silap laaaaa' pastu senyum-senyum gelak gelak. Grow up peeps *eyes roll*

Meh ai listkan..

1. Isi borang dengan betul dan lengkap. For that, it is good to bring your alatulis. Bukannya nak suruh bawak gunting lurus, gunting bengkok, pensil warna pun. Pen, liquid paper, pencil, gam.. cukup. Gam? Kot nak tampal gambar kat borang kang senang. Gambar bukan cam setem boleh jilat-jilat kasi lekat. Kadang-kadang CGPA pun tak tulis, language literacy pun tak tulis,.. jantina pun tak tulis. Semalam I asked a candidate apa jantina dia. Obviously dia tu lelaki. He was perplexed. Told him borang dia takde catitan jantina.

2. Kalau isi anything online, klik betul-betul kat tempat sepatutnya. Ini keje kat A, klik kat B. Level C, klik D. Adoi. Those are basics. Kalau itupun tak leh nak comply, apalagi yang lain-lain.

3. Gambar tu tolonglah buat proper gambar. Tak kisahlah nak senyum nampak gigi ke, nak senyum sikit ke, nak posing senget ke.. janji gambar yang proper for isi borang and terkini. Ni ai tengok gambar kat borang muka lonjong dan kurus, tup-tup yang masuk muka bulat pulak. And Konfius ai taw. And pleaselah jangan letak gambar dengan background ala-ala sambutan hari raya or the likes.

4. CV and documents and certifications. Have one proper specific folder for the interview. Have documents organised secara kronologi terbalik. I dunno what's the term. I mean kalau kelulusan tertinggi is degree level, letakkan degree dulu, pastu baru letak diploma kalau ada, pastu sijik-sijik sekolah menengah and so on. Ni jadi satu kerja pulak panel nak belek-belek folder you all tu mencari documents. Pastu jangan lah campur sekali dengan EPF statement, surat mintak keje, loan statement and whatnots... Ni semua common sense

5. Dressing tu biar bertempat. I don't expect you to come in power suit lorr. Pakaian yang sesuai je. Pants and shirt pun okay. Baju kurung pun ok. Just don't overdo sampai macam nak pegi dinner.. kelip kelap. Or too underdress macam nak pegi Carrefour beli roti Gardenia pukul 9.30 malam (eh, bunyi macam ai je tu, I mean pegi Carrefour beli roti). Atau seksi tak ingat pakai spaghetti strap atau sleeveless.

Sekian yer Kak Mon membebel (lagi). Hari ni berapa haribulan? 20hb? Owh, excuse my PMS.

Jom Kari!

Semangat makan waktu di rumah full-time memang lain kalau dibandingkan dengan semangat makan waktu bekerja. Contrary to the popular belief, di rumah kadang-kadang lagi huru hara, nak makan bersedap-sedapan tak berapa nak sempat. Kadang-kadang nak breakfast tapi sebok dengan anak nak mandinya, nak ceboknya, bergaduhnya etc, terus jadi brunch. Kadang-kadang cadang nak lunch lepas hantar anak pi sekolah.. tup-tup balik rumah terlelap, terus tak lunch. Masak dinner terus. I lost 5 kg during that one year.

Paling buat saya ‘terharu’, ofis saya menyediakan spot ala-ala ‘kantin’ menjual jajan! Siap dengan premix hot drinks. Heaven bukan.

Ni saya bagi satu contoh lunch last week. Lunch dengan En Suami di Bangsar. Sapa tak tau kari-kepala-ikan-bawah-pokok? I bet most of us yang kerja kat T* Menara / Annexe sure tau. Sedapnya hingga ramai yang sanggup ambik risiko kena berak burung (it’s an open air gerai, banyak pulak pokok-pokok kat situ, termasuk beburung yang dok kat pokok-pokok tu) termasuk saya :D

Ni adalah kari kepala ikan. Ikan merah. Malangnya pada hari kejadian takde yang kecik. Yang ni lebih kurang sebesar kertas A4. Eh, malang ke? Habis kena bedal sampai tinggal tulang aje. Walaupun upon its arrival, terus aje ‘kalau tak habis, kita bungkus’. Ya lah tu.. bungkus lah sangat.. bungkus dalam perut.

Kepala ni RM50.00. In addition to that, kami order sotong goreng 2 ekor, ikan cencaru goreng 2 ekor, sepinggan taugeh, 3 pinggan nasi (saya makan sepinggan ajer, sila tuduh orang lain) dan 2 gelas teh-o-ais-limau.

hah, siap gigi lagik tu

Total lunch hari tu was RM65. En Suami hulur 2 keping no RM50. Tokey kata takpelah, bayar RM50 ajer pasal dia takde small change. Lain-lain halaaaaaaaaalll! Maknanya kami cuma bayar kari kepala ikan tu aje, the rest FOC! Moga Allah murahkan lagi rezeki mereka.

ps - tak kena berak burung, alhamdulillah..

Bukan yang ini yer...

After our 2nd child, En Suami dah bagi hint cukup lah 2 orang anak. Tapi lepas tu Kak Mon mengandung lagi waktu Iman umur 3 tahun. Lepas Adam lahir, we decided cukuplah 3 anak kami. Pastu mengandung lagi kali ke-4 waktu Adam umur setahun!! :D Lepas tu setelah perbahasan dibuat, mengambilkira tahap umur dan kekangan masa, rasanya cukup setakat 3. Kalau Allah murahkan rezeki lagi, kami tetap bersyukur...

Merepek dah kan.

Sebenarnya nak tunjuk yang ini..
Waktu pecahkan telur buat egg benjo last weekend, tup-tup dapat sikembar ni ha.
Nasib baik sempat rampas sudip dari Adam, kalau idak tak dapat ambik gambar sikembar ni.
Tu pun dah pecah sebelah.

Sampai 2 kali menjengah Carrefour. Pagi-pagi tu Bibik inform diapers Adam tinggal 3 keping lagi. Adoi. Kenapalah tak cakap masa ada belen lagi 10 keping? Terpaksa lah tergedik-gedik pegi membeli. Adam pulak pagi tu sembelit sampai nangis-nangis nak keluarkan poop dia tapi tak berjaya. Mengukuhkan lagi lawatan ke Carrefour sebab nak beli prune juice. Dan oh ya, London Swiss Roll budak 2 beradik tu dah sapu licin. Kena top-up. Dan tambahannya lagik, nak membeli spek Adam. Lepas hantar Iman kat sekolah, gedebuk gedebak membeli, bukan takat Pet Pet, Heinz Prune Juice dengan London Swiss Roll aje dalam troli.. kepek, chips, air 100Plus, roti, drummet etc. Typical huh? Benda penting tu.

You ols taukan my elder two tu kena pakai spek kan (baca sini dan sini juga) Speknya siap dah lama tapi sebab sebok ntah apa-apa, Rabu baru ni baru ambik kat HUKM JRMA.

Mata kanan - distance Sph pl, Cyl -4.00, Axis 170, V/A 6/12.

Mata kiri - distance Sph pl, Cyl -4.50, Axis 175, V/A 6/12.

Apa nih?? Kak Mon pun tatau jugek. Yang cyl tu merujuk kepada astig rasanya. Lagi satu, takde rabun. Expert, sila clarify.

Kat bawah ni pulak spek Iman. Dah Kakak pepel, dia pun nak pepel jugak. Metrosexual sungguh spek ini kan :D

Mata kanan - Sph +1.25, Cyl -3.00, Axis 180, V/A 6/9

Mata kiri - Sph +1.75, Cyl -3.00, Axis 180, VA 6/9

Oh ya, berbalik kepada cerita asal, petang tadi waktu nak siapkan bahan-bahan Nasi Goreng Lobster (sila ambik perhatian, ni isi lobster kering je, bukan fresh lobster lengkap dengan kaki, ekor, cengkerang tu semua okay), rupanya bawang kecik dah takde. Jengah fridge, bawang kisar pun dah sikit. Daaaaaahhh kena buat misi beli bawang pulak. Dikuatkan lagi dengan nak membeli spek Adam. Sebelum ambik Iman kat sekolah tadi, pegi lagi sekali ke Carrefour. Lama-lama sok boleh jadi duta Carrefour kalau gini. Belilah 3 jenis bawang tu, bawang merah, bawang besar, bawang putih. Tengok spek budak-budak, gi** mahal! RM20++. Letak balik. Beli bawang je. Turun bawah, tengok ada kedai sepit-sepit rambut tu jual spek mainan. Angkat satu, RM5.00 je. Kaler mestilah pepel jugakkan. Kang tercetus perang saudara, susah.

Ni spek Adam. Rawk!! Belasah je lah. Buat syarat.

Takde gambar spek dengan tuan punya spek. Semua orang dah tidur time sesi fotografi spek ni dibuat.

Dah sebok cerita pasal bawang, ni lah bawang-bawang yang Kak Mon beli tadi. Pathetic sungguh ha ha.

Spek settle, bawang settle. Baru teringat ikan bilis baru habis semalam.. isk...

Drained..

Life's been full of ups and downs these days. I am emotionally drained and physically tired. I can't remember when I last properly wash and condition my hair.

I'll be back writing, only Allah knows when. But in short, we've been busy with Iman's schooling (his cries, his refusal and all) sick kids, me being not too well myself, yet another one useless runaway maid. Alhamdulillah, we are still standing and breathing, trying to manage and sort things out. Albeit not gracefully.

My England Is Broken Too

Me and Tebby decided to send Kakak and Iman for a school holiday tuition at a nearby center. For Kakak it's gonna be Math, Science, BI and BM. For Iman, the 3M (membaca, menulis, mengira).

Today is Kakak's first day. Iman is supposed to come along but since he's down with chicken pox, Kakak went alone. Naik van. As usual, this pathethic mom stalked to ensure she's safely in her class. Then I went to the office, paid for the fee and was offered an english enrichment tuition (cam tulah lebih kurang namanya) (for Kakak) but I declined. Don't want to push her too much.

When she got back and showed what she has learned, I almost fainted when I saw these sentences
---> the tree are growth well
---> the tree are die
You know these are wrong right? I asked. A ah tapi cikgu suruh tulis gitu.

Thank God it's Science. The facts are right but those are so grammatically, glaringly wrong. Should that be BI, I'd go there and then and claim my money back.

I am not bragging of my command of english whatsover. Mine is broken too. I don't use bombastic english words. I come from a non-english speaking background and use pantai timur malay at home. So, please don't get me wrong. But, if I paid xxx much of money, then I expect to get back xxx worth in return.

Now, who should really enroll in that english enrichment tuition thingy? Hurmp...

Ke Pasar Dengan Kak Mon

permandangan dari our feveret gerai daging

Jumaat is usually my pasar day. Dulu Tebby and me selalu pegi Pasar Sungei Besi but after going to Pasar Kajang, there's no turning back. Lagi banyak barang jualan. Now that I am a TSAHM, I prefer Friday than Saturday and Sunday. Less traffic, lagi senang nak parking, orang tak ramai sangat kat pasar and I can make my purchasing dengan tenang. Cuma kat Pasar Kajang ni, tukang jual memang buat promotion sokmo. The moment you step in, mulalah amoi mau apa? ikan cantik-cantik ini hari. murah-murah, tengok dulu takpa. mau apa amoi, kerang? elok-elok ni. fresh.

our feveret gerai daging. kalau datang ajer, budak ni tanya 'akak nak apa minggu ni? ni daging ni banyak urat' memang ai selalu beli daging yang berurat2 sikit. plus, bakso depa ni sedap. cukup lembut dan cukup lemak

Since kat rumah ni cuma ai sorang je makan sayur tanpa mengira suku sakat sayur (En Suami cuma makan sayur2 terpilih saja). For lunch, budak-budak ni memang tak makan sayur, only me aje lah nampaknya. Memang selalu nampak kat kedai and pernah makan. Sedap. Cam lemak-lemak sikit. Kata orang elok untuk buat ulam ibu-ibu baru bersalin, untuk kecutkan rahim. Orang kata, bukan ai kata ya. Tadi nampak orang jual, terus tanya apa ke namanya. Tenggek burung rupanya. Seikat singgit ajer.

rasa lemak-lemak (lemak lagi??). sedap. seikat tu sekali hadap je. tengoklah tangan ku yang berlemoih dengan kuah. tengah makan sebok nak memfoto bagai

Nota Kak Mon - Iman demam pulak! Berair-air mata. Risau jugak pasal semalam 3 jam kat Ophtalmology. Ramai pulak tu yang pakai spek hitam time tu!

Tudung Kak Mon

Today is a pretty mandom day for me. The rain holds me back from my gardening. The boys, can't have fun outside so they fight inside. But let's not use that as an excuse to just laze around, shall we. Plus, we need rain, should not complaint about it. No rain no water maa.

I decided to get into my 'organizing' mode today. Nothing big, just re-organising my tudung. I can't do much with the kids around since they'll 'help' me in so many ways.

Anyway, just some personal note - I first donned hijab when I was in pre-U. I was 18. I didn't know what prompted me, it just happended. Like, 'eh nak pakai tudung la' and so it began. When I was in secondary school, there was one ustazah who fiercely warned us (at that time, lots of us not wearing tudung) about not covering. Did I mention fierce? Yep she was. I know she meant well but not all things should be done in such way when she still have other ways to convince us all. Like, you'll be rewarded for something you do instead of you'll be punished for not doing. This is just my thinking k.

Here's are what were to be organized today. Some dated wayyyy back during the time I've just started working. That's more that 13 years oredi! The versatile bawal that is. (bawal as in voile yer, not bawal as in pomfret). The latest being some shawls and syria. And some inners to go with those.

So, folded, unfolded, tried on, pondered upon. Here's are those I am keeping. Some will be given away.

Left - Plain chiffon.
Middle - Plain bawal or voile. again, those are not pomfrets okay.
Right - Cottons for jogging, gardening. yes, I have dedicated tudungs for vigorous activities. soft yet strong cottons. the ones you wouldn't mind to lap peluh with.

Left - Combination of syria and their inners, and Tie-Racks scarves
Middle - Combination of satin 'jemputan' from Sumatera and Mortada.
Right - Donatella (they were famous once okay). 2 top most are given by my parents after coming back from Hajj.

Left - Plain instant hijab.
Middle - Patterned instant hijab.
Right - shawls. I have just started my collection. Expect them to grow.

The 'uncategorized' or rather under the label 'miscellaneous'. Note the blue and orange. FOC from the company I worked for. Opsie.. correction work not worked.

This is my very first satin inner. Now can the designer come forward and tell us all who the model was? Coz people with head such as mind find our ears all terkelepet and red at the end of the day. Not just that, we went 'whattt??? boleh cakap kuat sikit?? this inner really make our telinga pengappp!!'

Puasa Tak??

My first Ramadhan 1431H entry. On 5th Ramadhan. Semua masih puasa penuh lagi setakat ni. Tebby (walaupun dia dah macam nak pitam on 1st day, MC on 2nd day), me (minumlah CCCP waktu sahur wahai rakan-rakan wanita.. anda akan rasa tak begitu lapar) and Kakak (hari sekolah ajer merengek sebab haus, can't blame her tho sebab time dia keluar pegi sekolah petang tu, waktu betul-betul tengah panas terik).

Iman? Hemmm...
Puasa tu apa Iman? Tak boleh apa?
Tak boleh makan.
Apa lagi?
Tak boleh minum air.
Iman puasa tak?
Puasa.
Tadi kan minum susu?
Tadi tak puasa.
Sekarang tak minum, puasa lah ni.

Adam?
Time orang sahur, dia pun minum gak susu barang 8oz, pastu orang bersiap-siap solat subuh, dia sambung tidur. Time orang sibuk nak mulakan urusan diluar, dia pun bangun tumpang sibuk. Dia punya weight baru naik ke 13kg. Dah lama sangat stagnant kat 12kg.

Iftar? Takat 5 hari ni, semua main dish adalah homecooked. Beli pun cuma kuih-kuih atau air je. Air kelapa tak boleh buat kat rumah kan? Kenalah beli kan? Sahur pulak light-light aje. I can survive (insyaAllah) with just 2 slices of white bread cicah air milo or roti cicah sadin je. Nanti saya sharekan apa menu kami. Sempoi aje. Myself pulak, lepas berbuka, memang tak makan apa-apa benda lain dah, sampai ke sahur. Just minum air banyak-banyak je. Tak taulah kenapa.. kurang selera. Owhh.. tapi... dari first day puasa dok merengek kat Tebby nak berbuka kat Al-Diafah. Takdelah merengek sebenarnya.. saya rak reti nak merengek-rengek nih.. sekadar memberi cadangan (dan diulang setiap 2hari sekali, boleh?)

Persediaan Eid pulak, hohoho, cuma saya aje yang dah tempah baju dan dah siap 7 pasang! Orang lain? Kain pun masih kat kedai! Selfish kan? Kain-kain tu bukan baru pun. Dari zaman china silk glamer kan main, china silk saya belum berjahit, until recently. Ada 2 pasang tu, dah 2 tahun beli, baru ni buat. Ada selai tu beli tahun 2006, masih belum berjahit. Ada selai lagi, dah lama sangat sampai tak ingat bila hu hu. Jadinya, takdelah saya berfesyen ala terkini okay. Apa.. kaftan? Saya cuma pakai kaftan time nak tido ajerr..

Cookies? Ni pun belum mengorder. Kat mana ada jual online? Yang korang dah try and konfem sedappp. Range? Paling mahal ku sanggup RM25 sebekas. Tolong ya, inform ai kalau ada...

Closing of July 2010

End of July 2010!

Somehow, I forget to track my March and June.

Unlike my previous entries on tracking them all, I'm just going to ramble about my resolution numero dua only. That's where I did my best anyway heh heh.

Here goes...

I can pat meself on the back when it comes to this. Up to end of July 2010, I have read not 7, but 31 books (well.. almost as I am still reading the 31st book). In July alone, I read 6 books (June takde baca buku langsung!). I am bad at giving review. Let's just note whether I like em or not shall we? Here's my list for July..

1. TAPAI by Hishamudin Rais. Entertaining short stories about food and eateries which the writer went. Yeah, entertaining altough I don't quite agree with certain things that he practices.

2. CINTA SUFI by Ramlee Awang Murshid. The last addition to Laksamana Sunan series. Among all 4 in this series i.e. Bagaikan Puteri, Cinta Sang Ratu, Hijab Sang Pencinta and Cinta Sufi, I love Hijab Sang Pencinta most. As if, his writing matured as he got along from the 1st book to the 3rd. I expected something 'more' in his 4th but just could not find it. Something is just lacking. But I like the tagline on the cover - sekali kurebah, sejuta kali kubangkit.

3. A RELIABE WIFE by Robert Goolrick. My first english novel for July. If you ask, I concluded this novel amongst 'sederhana'. The plot is predictable and the story is a bit 'too young' to my age.

4. THE LAST SONG by Nicholas Sparks. Again, I am way too old for this kind of I-love-you-you-love-me kinda. I might enjoy it (and book no 3, A RELIABE WIFE) if I am in my late teens or early twenties. But now that I am 36... I'll just leave it on the shelve for Kakak when she's old enough for these.

5. BERCINTA SAMPAI KE SYURGA. Sambungan kepada buku pertama, Aku Terima Nikahnya by Hasrizal Abdul Jamil, better known as Saifulislam (web here) in the cyber world. Light reading, soup for the soul I'd say. The writer should be careful as ada isi yang bertindan dengan buku pertama.

6. THE HUT OF LEAPING FISHES by Chiew-Siah Tei. I am only quarter-way through and enjoying every page of it (so far).

So, what have you read? Care to share?

Coachie! Coachie! Coachie!

Taraaa... my first COACH. Actually bag ni (or ikut bahasa orang-orang yang well-versed dengan subject handbag nih... this is a SATCHEL) telah menghuni gobok baju for quite sometime (by my standard yang kurang kesabaran nih, even 2 weeks is a long time okay). Bila fikir-fikir balik, after this, my main KPI will be handling Iman (mostly chaffeuring him around) so this satchel is a bit too much for that I guess (I need a FOSSIL crossbody!! - very specific), terpaksalah acik melaramkan bag barang dua tiga hari nih before masuk balik gobok nun.

Anyway, it's in Scarlet. I just don't know what is happening to me. First it was a scarlet satchel, then I nearly buy red open-toes!

Anyway, since I'll have ample me-self time, I have made a pledge for a greener earth. In the month to come, I'll be sewing my own shopping bags (sewing okay, bukan buying). Sort of killing two birds with one stone la konon. Towards greener earth and spending my time doing something beneficial. Rather than eating kan, I'm sure Tebby would prefer me doing this (the scale tipped 55kg last time I stepped on it, the very not good). Anyway, I'll be buying some fabrics nonetheless heh heh.. We'll see la how. This is my KPI for July 2010. I'll be updating on the outputs, no worries..

Of Baby Ariff & Confinement

Went to visit Smah (better known as Sikulat in cyber world). Kami sama pregnant tahun lepas dan sama-sama keguguran after that. She decided to try again while me and Tebby decided not to anymore. She got pregnant again later and just given birth semalam.

Name is Ariff Farhan. Mama Ariff said, it's with 'i' not 'e'. Am not sure if the name has two 'f's or just one. Mandai-mandai aje letak Ariff. Born at 3.12kg, this little bundle sure full of spirit. Time kami visit, kalau dia marah, merah-merah muka and meronta-ronta sampai keluar tangan kecik dia tu dari bedung. Baby Ariff, good boy now okay. Jangan grumpy-grumpy okay.

In my live (i must add, so far), I have been pregnant with 5 babies. Iman had a twin but the foetus never made it even in 1st trimester. Adam almost got a younger sister (my instinct strongly says it was a girl). Among the 3 children I gave birth to, Iman is the smallest and lightest at birth while Adam was the opposite. Giving birth to Iman was the most difficult thing to do (as well as the most painful) while Adam, despite his size, was the easiest. Kakak? All in the middle between the boys. Caring for Iman, well, was the most difficult stage when he was a baby. Menangis. Tak lapar. Tak basah. Cuma menangis. Alhamdulillah, I am blessed with such a wonderful husband yang sanggup melayan kerenah Iman yang didodoi sambil berdiri sampai terlelap semula. Besar sikit, mengamuk pulak. Since communication used to be limited, tak tau kenapa dia mengamuk. Difficult? You bet. With Adam, it was all easy. The kind of baby yang letak kat atas tilam, terus doze of tanpa perlu ditepuk-tepuk or dodoi. Kakak? She's in between the two. Difficult or not, painful or not, I love them all the same.

Anyway, confinement was tough during my 1st and 2nd tho I spent those back at my hometown. Those were emotional and full of tears. My 3rd, albeit being spent here in KL, minding 3 kids without any help (Yes, my husband did help but he has to go to work after paternity ended. He left me and the kids with enough cooked meal tho, thanks Yang). My mom is a strict dietician, the old way. Little water, no fruits, everything must be 'dry'. I can't blame her tho as that was how she was taught how healing process was after child birth. I ended up weak, not hydrated enough and a good case of constipation. During my 3rd confinement, it was mainly due to survival tho, I ate balanced diet. Of course kena jaga-jaga for food that are 'gatal' and 'sejuk'. I took bread, milo, horlick, vege, fruits and loads of plain water. Had soup, singgang, grilled chicken and all. In short, I was well-fed and well-hydrated. And I recovered relatively quicker than I did during my 1st and 2nd confinement. Of course I took all those medications as well as a good dose of jamu. After a week bersalin, I already did the laundry, masak, sapu rumah and all. It was mainly for survival, like I said earlier, but hey,.. I survived!

This is purely based on my experience. How you want to deal with your confinement issues are totally yours to decide. I am not against traditional method and nor am I against modern ones. Have it in anyway as long as you can keep yourself healthly and fit enough to care for your baby (and other children too!!)

I know Smah pon is more or less like me. Janji sihat kan, Smah..

Dan yang penting.. jangan stress!!!

TSAHM?

Clock is ticking and it's only approximately 8 more days before my TSAHM (Temporary Stay At Home Mom) term. Apart from ferrying Iman to-and-fro and help him with his school work, to be frank, I have no other plans at this moment. Will this gonna be exciting? Or will I be stuck in boredom? People say, life is what you make it to be. If that's the case, I'm making it fun. If it's not, just wait and read my hormonal entries in this blog hu hu.

I am at home today, feeling rather unwell. It's only 10.00 a.m. and I don't know what else to do. Think am gonna scout around for jamu or something later today. Oh ya, I need a good weighing scale. Not working while having a Bibik around PLUS an enermous appetite is not a very healthy combination I'd say heh heh. People, I have started doing sit-up last night. 20 kali okay (but I forgot to do it this morning tho).

OK peeps, think am gonna raid my wardrobe and re-arrange. Any better idea that that? Suggestions?

New Found Hobby.. Too Bad Its Pricey Too

Helppp!!!! I have a new obsession. Too bad it's pricey too. Acik dah mula hobi beli emas okay. Scary huh, especially when bulan depan sudah tara kerija yang masuk gaji.. Untuk meng-consolekan diri, gold is an investment kan? Kan? Kan? I am starting a collection for the kids actually. One year, one dinar each, how's that?

ps - nantikan update tertunda percutian kami di Cherating pulak yerr.. as for now, I have loads to do (and yet have time to update and tell just this???)

Closing of May 2010

Tick Tock Tick Tock! How time really flies eh. It's closing of May already.

Let's revise what I have aimed to achieve this year. Read here, which I wrote on Friday 1st January 2010 btw. Dah jadi reality or masih tahap fantasi lagi?? Jom tengok..

Bad bad one in this department. I hardy tried anything new. It's always the repetition of old recipes. But I have to proudly and mengada-ngada to admit my Nasi Lemak & Nasi Minyak are getting better the more time I cooked them. (statement cover diri yang tak comply to azam heh heh). All I did in May (the last time I ever tried anything new was in January btw) was telling story about my Ikan Terubuk Masin Masak Lemak, nagging over McCormick readymade seasoning for Buffalo Wing and writing about the best premix I found so far for fritters, particularly for my Sutong Celok Tepong.

Pat me on the back. For 2010 I have far exceeded my target already. I have read 25 books (well 3 is actually half read). May alone I have read 5 books. Better than April, in which I only managed 3 books). Btw, without realising it, I may have been addicted to books (or is it the bliss of buying books?). By May, I have spent more than RM2k already for books. I am glad my newly acquired habit has gone down to Kakak (she, contributed to that RM2k expenses by quite a percent as well... hmmm...). I have thought to create a new blog for books that I have bought and read but.. but.. it stopped before it reached 10 books.. *sigh*. If you check on the right hand side of this blog, there's a list of books I have read btw. For May, I read two books by Tere Liye (good in writing tapi plot cam so-so aje.. to me la), Travelog Haji, which I have bought for quite sometimes tapi tak baca-baca. Somehow ada part dalam buku left me with 'is it? is it really like that?' and a book I Love You Too. Light reading, relates so much to our daily life.

3. Saya akan membaca sekurang-kurangnya beberapa baris Al-Quran setiap hari selepas salah satu waktu solat. Lebih banyak lebih bagus.
Bad bad mommy in this area as well. Well, I did all my obligatories but rarely the sunat ones. *pinch meself*. Benarlah kita, bila susah macam-macam amalan nak buat but.. well... enough said. I need to change for the better.

(Apart from no3 of course) I managed to bundled up some things which I think, nice-to-keep-but-other-people-will-do-better-with items. You know, the first newborn romper Kakak wore, the first toy I bought for Iman or Adam's mittens which he wore soon after keluar ICU. Yes, sentimental values that filling my storeroom to the brim. I hope those items will put a smile on faces I don't even know who. But like they say, 'tangan kanan memberi, biarlah tangan kiri tak tau' and yet I am announcing it here heh heh.

5. Saya akan membuat belanjawan bulanan dan stick to it. Sila note perkataan overspend.. bukan not spend at all *ayat disclaimer yang agak bahaya*.
Well, 2 major damages and 1 minor. I bought like 10 tudungs at one go (kongsi dengan Kakak, aci kan.. kan.. kan...) and a leather handbag (can you believe it's Coach and not forgetting to mention, it's in violet too!). I also bought a big dose of SkinFood. I got meself a bling-bling, which I've been drooling for quite sometime but that used another provision from selling my ESOS.

Well, urghhh... I have a consistent 'potongan gaji' for Tabung Haji and in koperasi. I have an SI for insurance and I periodically invest in unit trust. Okay lah kot.. other than that takde baki okay.

Baik Kakak, baik Iman, maupun Adam.
Well, not consistently. And not school-education-ly. Kakak kena paksa hafal sifir sebagai tukaran for her collection of Geronimo Stilton (Mr Stilton is a rodent btw... read here for more info. He has a lot of fabu-mouse adventure, as Kakak tells me) Adam has been talking a lot. Iman banyakkkkk improvement. He writes alphabets, he draws, he colors, he cuts and his speech is way better now.

Alhamdulillah. Tho not trying out new recipes as much as I had hoped for, the kids are still well fed with ummi's air tangan meal especially on weekends. Weekdays susah sikit due to timing and they manipulated Bibik Ros to dish out food they like. Like telur goreng dari pagi sampai petang, boleh?

So, whatever happens to your resolution?

Don't Ask!

I am reciprocal most of the time. When given, I give back. When I give, I expect to be given back. And yes, I am selfish as well in that sense. Whoever I am and how insignificant I may be, I still deserve some respect as a human being.

I need a retail theraphy and spend the remaining-whatever there is in my wallet.

Just please don't ask okay.

Almost Jatuh Kerusi!

Remember this? I have submitted my application and the relevant supporting documents approximately two weeks ago. And between then and now, Mr General Manager has twice jokingly asked me to reconsider. Ala bos, for a semua merah like me, I don't make significant anythings for the office, rest assured, my absence won't be felt. Just let me go and be full time mom for while okay. Who knows if I, En Tebby and the kids enjoy this, I may leave for good.

Anyway.

Person-In-Charge in HR called me today, delivering a bad news. I almost jatuh kerusi okay. I was like, please don't tell me it's rejected *tears welling*. We already made first month payment, paid registration fee and bought books for Iman, in view of the coming July. Thank God, syukran Ya Allah, my jatuh-kerusi was in fact unnecessary. Person-In-Charge could not find my application anywhere, not on P-I-C's table and not amongst papers on P-I-C's assistant. I had my copy scanned right away and sent afterwards. Phew..

To HR, please.. please don't make me jatuh kerusi for real after processing my application will ya?

Gone Jogging errrr... Briskwalking

His & Hers.
Orang selalu ambik gambar wedding rings kan.
Since ours (Tebby sebenarnya) dah tak muat lagi dah, kasut pon.. kasutlahhh..
Layannn...

Fuh... lama giler tak pi jogging. Errr... brisk walking sebenarnya. Tapi when I briskwalk, it's always around 45 minutes, okaylah kan? <-------- ayat yang sebenarnya cuba menjustify ketidakberjayaanku nak berjogging heh heh.

Lepas jogging, errr... briskwalking tu, bersantap pulak nasi lemak taruh sambal kerang sama telur goreng. Apakahhh???
