Hari ni, kalau ikut schedule, Iman ikut field trip tadikanya ke Aquaria KLCC. Malam tadi cikgunya call confirmkan whether or Iman was going. Iman being Iman, I don't dare letting him go in a group of small kids unless there's one person can look after him all the time. Yes, all the time. He wonders around. He could get lost and he cannot really speak to convey messages.

I am firmed with the idea that would be the best for him (or is it for me?). At the same time I am filled with guilt. Am I depriving him of his social live or chances to explore alongside his friends? Am I being too protective? If so, until when?

Iman may have progressed from the person he was but still, there's still lots of 'what if's' in my mind.

And A Baby Makes 6

Jumaat lepas was my first check-up with O&G. Where else, APSH lah kan. So far so good, everything's okay. I was hardly 5-weeks all along last Friday, we could only see the sac but not the heartbeat. Dr Ashar said between 8-10 weeks, the heartbeat will be obviouly visible. In the meantime, I just need to stuff myself with folic acid and see him after 3 weeks from the appointment date.

Unlike my 2nd and 3rd pregnancy, which I was neutral on the gender, this time I hope it's gonna be a girl. I think after 2 boys in a row, anyone would be feel the same like I do. That's just my preference but if Allah grants us with another boy, syukran. Girl or boy, the baby is gonna be lavish with lots of love from us, the parents, along with his/her sister and brothers. Adam pulak macam tau-tau je. Lately suka sangat dok atas riba. Kalau ummi tengah baca buku ke apa, sibuklah dia berusaha meletakkan diri dia atas riba. InsyaAllah when the baby is born, Adam will be 21 months old.

So far I am ok. No major morning sickness whatsoever. Penat sikit-sikit tu adalah. Pukul 8 malam je, rasa nak switch off dah. Penat ni kalau tak pregnant pun penat. Whatmore during 1st trimester. Can't imagine how it would be like in my third nanti. Harap semuanya berjalan lancar.

Apart from that, we've been dilly-dallying adjusting our lives. We may hire a maid. We may let-go my ViVa for a slightly bigger one. We even think of scouting for new house. Semua peringkat planning je lagi ni. Yang pasti, last weekend, we cleared our boxes of books, magazines and the likes and have them nicely arranged in our newly purchased billy racks. To make it a study area, we put a vika 2m study table. Next action, wallpaper to make the area berseri-seri. Originally we want to have the walls painted green but dah pasang rak semua tu, I think I'll just opt for wallpaper. These, subject to my financial wellbeing jugak. I need to re-assess my habit. Makcik sgt banyak shopping lately ni okay. Ni bukan pembawakan budak ni.. dari dulu lagi semakin menjadi-jadi.

To friend who left comments, who congratulated tete-a-la-tete, thanks a lot. Indeed masa beli alphard, we had just 3 kids in mind. Had we known we're gonna expect another one, we would've settled for estima maybe or innova. Tapi manalah nak tau kan. Looks like the back seat will be occupied afterall.

I am Positively Expecting.. Again..

Sempena Jumaat yang penuh berkat ini, saya ada satu pengumuman untuk kawan-kawan. We're expecting another baby. Yes people, I am pregnant again despite that '3 is enough', 'i am too old already for this'. Alhamdulillah is the perfect choice of words to describe our situation. Rezeki can be in many forms and children is definately one.

We did not expect this. Not this soon. In fact we did not expect anymore babies. But when the kit showed +ve result, we were as much excited as the time we were expecting Kakak, Iman and Adam. I'll only see my obgyn next Friday but I 've seen Dr Rasool and I am expected to give birth sometime around 19th February 2010.

The first time I did the test was last Monday 8th June, a week before I was supposed to get my menses. Way too early huh. Why? I just felt pregnant. And I saw some spots that normally appear on my body only when I'm expecting. The result was a blurry +ve. Wednesday 10th June, I went to see Dr Rasool just to ensure the medications I was taking (I had low grade fevel, coughing and runny nose then) are safe enough for expectant mom. So I did the 2nd test, just to be sure. It was a clear 2-lines result. It was 5 days before my period is due. Dr pun terkejut how can it be detected that soon. Yahh... hormonal me. You can expect some hormonal entries in this blog for the next 9 months or so!

Wish me luck. I hope it's gonna be a smooth-sailing pregnancy this time around. I hope I can fast a full moon.


When Tebby first sat in his current post, which requires him to frequently travel, friends said selalu jauh-jauh nanti rindu. Selalu rindu, cepat dapat baby. Oh well...

Taman Tamadun Islam.. Here We Come

Kali ni balik ke Tgg memang agak sakan berjalan.

4th day, sebelah pagi, saya ke Pasar Payang. Asalnya, ... hemm... biasalah, mencari barang pesanan orang. Dah dapat kaftan untuk mak saya, saya beli 3 pasang kain sutera untuk diri sendiri. Untuk anak-anak, baju sepasang sorang. Cuma Iman yang saya bawak sama. Dia ni susah sikit orang lain nak jaga. Kakak dan Adam saya tinggalkan dengan mak sedara diorang.

Lepas Pasar Payang, singgah kedai makan Sofinaz. Tapau nasi bungkus. Kedai ni jual nasi padang. Ada bermacam-macam lauk-pauk, you'll be spoilt for choice. Yang selalu kami beli ialah daging hitam, paru dan telur ikan goreng. Oh ya, ayam kampung goreng. Setiap bungkus datang dengan sedikit sambal. Pedas tawwww... janganlah nak gaul semua dengan nasi dulu. Sila test sebelum gaul rata, kang tak termakan nanti.

Sebelah petang, kami ke Taman Tamadun Islam di Pulau Duyung. TTI ni femes dengan Masjid Kristal as well as Taman Monumen. Taman Monumen ada pamerkan replika-replika masjid dari negara-negara Islam. Kami pergi 2 keluarga. Kakak ipar saya 8 beranak, kami 5 beranak. Muatlah berhimpit-himpit dalam satu buggy. Cuma singgah di 'Masjid Negara' dengan 'Dome of Rock' saja. Yang lain-lain kami tengok dari atas buggy saja.

Walaupun waktu tu dah lepas waktu Asar, cuaca masih panas, matahari masih terik. Walaupun naik buggy, tekak tetap haus. Pi pekena minum dulu kat kafe dalam TTI nun. Malangnya Iman takmau masuk kafe sebab depan tu ada playground. Dia singgah main situ. Saya, sebagai idola dia no 1, kena singgah meneman. Marah jugak saya mulanya tapi bila saya tengok dia dah berani panjat tali-tali rantai dari atas ke bawah, berjalan atas tali dan turun gelungsung tanpa perlu saya pegang tangan dia. Nampaknya terapi-terapi yang dia pegi tu ada hasilnya. Tak lama lepas tu, sepupu sepapat dia pun join kat playground. Si Kakak sampai berpeluh sakan panjat sana sini. Adam pun tak kalah, tak padan dengan kecik.

Keluar dari situ, ingatkan nak balik dah. Budak-budak ajak pegi naik paddle boat pulak. Kakak naik sama cousin dia, Cik Kah. Iman, sangat excited tapi takmau pakai life-jacket pada mulanya. Langusng tak boleh naik. Lepas tengok Kakak syok aje paddle boat, sudahnya dia setuju pakai life-jacket tu. Macam transformer you. Iman naik sama Tebby. Tukang kayuhnya cuma abahnya, Iman jadi penumpang saja. Saya tak naik boat. Tunggu dengan Adam kat darat. Adam pun meronta-ronta nak naik boat tp saya tak berani. Nasib baik ada satu boat tersadai kat darat, makanya itulah boat Adam! Dekat 7.30 ptg barulah semua naik balik ke darat. Dekat parking lot sempat lagi yang kecik-kecik ni mengepau beli belon sorang satu pulak.

Dah naik keta nak balik ke rumah, baru teringat, tak sempat pegi tengok Masjid Kristal!

Makang Celuk Tepong di Seberang Takir

Kalau kami balik Terengganu, lawatan sambil makan ke gerai Mat Nor di Seberang Takir memang masuk agenda. Seawal kami kawin, belum discover lagi tempat ni. Only a few years back ipar-ipar saya dok kempen kelazatannya makan kat situ. Ini bermakna dah beberapa tahun jugak kami dok melawat gerai Mat Nor ni kalau balik kampung. Keluarga sebelah suami saya memang suka cari tempat makan dan suka makan. Bab ni saya dah conform dengan diorang sebab saya sendiri dah jadi suka makan.

Kedai Mat Nor ni sempoiiiii lah sangat. Don't expect something lavish. Proper gerai is not even close. It's just a worn-out old wooden hut dekat tepi jalan seberang dari pantai. In fact ada sebahagian dari meja-meja cuma kitar-semula cable-roll (ala,... yang jadi tempat penggulung kabel TNB tu). Bayangkan dalam panas-panas petang tu, hirup ABC atau teh O beng lima (terjemah ke bahasa KL - teh O ais limau) sambil angin bertiup sepoi-sepoi bahasa. Heaven. Saya belum cerita pasal makanan lagi tu!

Kat sini yang femesnya ialah celup-celup tepung seafood. My feveret is sotong. Next in line is udang. For Tebby, ikan kembung inlcuded. Ikan kembung bukan saiz kecik-kecik ye kawan-kawan. Ini yang kita guna buat lauk makan sama nasi tu. I found it a bit weird in the beginning but am getting the hook of it already by now. Sotong pun saiz besar-besar tu. Kadang-kadang kena tunggu dengan penyepit kat tangan sementara Mat Nor & The Geng tengah menggoreng. Angkat aje, silalah berjuang dengan penyepit masing-masing! Jangan risau hangat-hangat tu... gunting disediakan untuk tujuan memotong.

Selain celup-celup tepung tu, ada jugak dijual mee goreng. Iman habis sepinggan. ABC so-so saja pada perasaan tekak saya ni. Tapi Teh O Beng Lima dia, memang power dan sangat sedap. Kalau nak buat ranking Teh O Beng Lima saya pernah minum, teh Mat Nor ni menduduki tangga teratas carta.

Last kami ke Kedai Mat Nor ni, bukan aje angin sepoi-sepoi bahasa, malah ribut dan hujan lebat. Memandangkan kedai ni di bawah lereng bukit, makanya melimpah le air hujan ke masuk ke gerai. Rain or shine, acara tetap diteruskan. Masing-masing gulung kaki seluar dan teruskan acara. Bukan kami saja tau, jiran-jiran meja lain pun sama.

Kalau tanya arah, memang saya fail. In fact nak ke Pasar Payang dari rumah inlaws saya pun saya tak pass lagi, let alone ke Seberang Takir ni.

Cherating, Here We Come

A day after the wedding daze (seriously, malam tu I had headache), kami 5 beranak made our way to Kuala Terengganu, with an overnight stop in Cherating. Mulanya nak bertolak around 10-11 am tapi sebok-sebok mengemas, basuh kain segala, dekat pukul 1 tengahari baru bertolak.

Traffic was clear despite cuti sekolah. Kalau weekends mungkin sesak jugak kot but it was Monday. After leisure driving, sampai Cherating at around 2.30pm. Singgah makan at one of the roadside restaurant, Seri Ombak. Indeed it was a good choice as they have:-

1. An aquarium that kept the kids entertained, including Adam.

2. A package for 3 at RM48.00 inclusive a big jug of fresh watermelon juice (the kids choosed apple juice from the fridge tho)

3. They served yummy tomyam that hooked Iman.

We checked in at Impiana room 216 at almost 4-ish. I made an online booking earlier so it took merely minutes to get it done. Impiana is a resort style with rustic ambience. They have wood-floor and blinds for curtains. The washroom is big enough for the kids to enjoy themselves. Yang menggusarkan saya ialah pintunya yang seakan-akan tak berapa kukuh kuncinya. They have this extra 'chain' (the kind that allows door to open just a bit for you to take a peek outside). The room comes with 2 ceiling fans as well. Once in, the Kakak and Iman had fun jumping on the 4-poster king-sized bed while Adam looked on in awe. Walau bagaimanapun, Tebby, Kakak and Iman slept on the bed while Ummi and Adam tido sebelah sofa kat living area, fearing Adam terjun tiruk from the bed.

Anyway, as promised to the kids, we went to the pool and had splashing time. Kakak sesungguh hati menduyungkan dirinya dalam pool. Iman, masih takut dan takmau berendam. Dia cuma cicah-cicah kaki dan berlari ke sana-sini. Adam pulak, kalau tenggelam paras dada, dia takut. Maybe he was unfomfortable with the water pressure on his chest kot. Kalau setakat pinggang, he was okay. Kids and pools ibarat lagu dan irama kan. To persuade them to get out from the pool amatlah susah. One is out, the other got in back.

We did not get out from the resort to explore dining outlets along Cherating coastline. Makan kat resort saja sebab masing-masing lupa nak withdraw cash. Caj to the room lah sebab buleh bayar guna credit card :P
