Unknotted @Tanamera Sooka Sentral

Took a half-day off today. Need to re-energize my tired (and over-stuffed) body from Eid (eating) frenzy :D Tanamera Sooka Sentral it was. Booked beforehand during Ramadhan (sounds like I knew I was going to stuff myself!)
Ginger oil body massage. Followed by herbal body steam. Scrubbed with ginger & kaffir lime then bodywrap with the same concoction. Bath and floral body soak. I was burping away!

Kak, urat simpul-simpul ni. Mesti buat banyak kerja hari tu
.
Yarright dear. I perah santan 4 besen besar okay.

Came back feeling unknotted and unbloated. Bliss....

Tanamera Wellness Spa @Sooka Sentral 07062012

Had few hours of me-time @Tanamera Wellness Spa @Sooka Sentral. Parked my car kat ofis, took a LRT ride 3 stations away to KL Sentral. Sooka Central is just across KL Sentral. Tanamera Wellness Spa is located on 3rd Floor.

Before I eventually decided on Tanamera, I was considering few other options. Hammam (I went there December last year. Hammam was okay, nothing to complaint about, but for the sake of trying somewhere new kan), Thai Odyssey, Karabuning Boutique Spa (Karabuning is under Thai Odyssey but with different name and different and better offerings) and Siam BodyWorks.

Since I wanted to make my time worth taking leave for, I would like to have full body massage, scrub and bath. Hammam has it. Tanamera does. And so does Karabuning Boutique Spa. Checked out Karabuning packages, wanted to try either Package 2 (Herbal Foot Soak, Refreshing Milk Bath, Royal Body Glow and Royal Thai massage) or Package 4 (same as Package 2 with addition of Luxury Foot Massage), booked online and then realized it is at Bangsar Shopping Complex, somewhere I am not really fimiliar with. Cancelled and called up Tanamera @Sooka Central and got time slot last Thursday.

Tanamera has 5 outlets in Klang Valley. @Sooka Sentral, it is a ladies-only spa. A plus point there. Yang kat Concorde Shah Alam tu ada for men. I have utmost reservations my husband kena massage dengan female okay. Tak kiralah tua mana pun pompuan tu :D
Btw, ini rupanya 'tiket' LRT these days? It's been so looooonnggg that I last board one. And no more Putra LRT? RapidKL eh? While waiting, I saw a couple on the other side. Both used sign language. Why I said 'a couple'? Because while they were communicating, affections flooded in their eyes.

Okay, now back to Tanamera. This is their waiting area. Nampak tu wall rack tu? Those are products yang diorang guna. Atas meja tu pulak samples for you to choose from for your spa session.
Alley leading to rooms. Tanamera @Sooka Sentral has 2 VIP rooms (en-suite with shower, steam and bath tub), 2 single rooms with shared facilities (shower, steam and toilet), 1 malay massage room, 1 feet and hair treatment area (overlooking KL). You can actually sit and sip like tai-tai while doing hairworks and footworks :D After deciding on which package, I was ushered to bilik Cempaka, a VIP suite since I would be using the shower, steam and bath tub later.

Choices of massage oil. I picked ginger oil although bau serai wangi adalah sangat inviting. Diorang assured me bau minyak akan hilang after body scrub semua tu, I went for a safer choice, Ginger. Ginger oil is much milder. There was also coffee, basil and coconut oil to choose from. For scrub and mask, choosed dessicated coconut and for bath, milkbath.

Ginger tea.. while you think on what treatment to choose from (while otak busily calculating the $$$ and the time I had hihi) I could gulp down jamu serbuk so ginger tea was easy peasy to drink. Kalau bagi bigger pot pun no problem :D

VIP suite. Changed into bathrobe, lie upside down and relax. My Ms Masseur that day was Maria. A young lady from Sungai Buloh with weird accent. Maria sangat kuat okay. I had to ask her to change into lower gear ha ha. Untuk seorang yang amat jarang kena urut, otot-otot dah kejung, urat saraf semua tegang. My fault jugaklah, mintak urut style orang lepas bersalin. Now everyone knows how that kind of massage feels like kan. There was one time when she massaged my back berbunyi2 macam orang macam kopok! Serius tak tipu. Maria kata kalau nak jaga badan, akak kena jaga makan juga. Jangan makan benda sejuk, tajam dan berbisa. Well, errr. Jangan tidur dalam ekon, jangan mandi malam. Errrr.... You can ask me makan all those vitamins and supplements and whatnots tp kalau 'jangan makan' .. agak sukar for me.

Fes taim okay mandi berendam-rendam dalam bath tub dengan susu with roses petals (before that kena scrub dengan limau purut dulu :D) di samping lilin. Romantik youuu. After milkbath, do not shower, just dab, dress and off you go.Bayar dulu okay. I was offered packages, membership, add-ons and all. Which is normal practise I think kalau pegi mana-mana spa pun. No worries, politely reject. Told them I'd like to try few more times then only I can consider. Add-ons, I took herbal compress. Herbal compress ni jenis tuam-tuam aje, bukan jenis tungku batu sungai tu.
Maria suggested me untuk ambik ginger scrub if I ever datang again. Dia kata I was actually bloated with angin :D To be frank, I had sore muscle for the next 3 days after massage walaupun badan rasa ringan. Lepas 3 hari, baru really refreshed. The scrub and mask and bath - owhsomeness. Lembut kulit ai taw :D :D

Definately recommended!

Tanamera First Timer

Tanamera literally means Red Earth - Tanah Merah. When I first went to spa (sort of), Tanamera Spa was one of the considerations. I went to Hammam instead nevertheless :) (Hammam web www.hammambaths.com.my)

I've been reading Tanamera's web (www.tanamera.com.my and its spa web www.tanameraspa.com.my), 'hanging out' at their online outlet (www.tranquilicespa.com), been reading other people's review and all. Tanamera has its own spa (few, to be exact). It sells products as well. Unlike Hammam. Should you need to use their product, you have to go and use em up at their spa! Tanamera on the other hand, you can spa yourself at their outlet OR buy their products and spa yourself up at the comfort of your own bathroom. Having read a bit about Tanamera, I was tempted to sample up few things. Facial scrub, facial mask and body scrub.

Recently Tanamera opened a temporary booth at neighboring office. They were selling things at 20% discounts (some were 70% but I couldn't recall which items as I went and terjah all the things I had wanted - facial scrub, facial mask and body scrub).

First, let's see what Tanamera claims. Born in the land of Malaysia. Au naturel. Supports recycling too.

Tropical Lulur Scrub. Selling at RM40 per pack before 20% discount. It comes in a jar. Inside, you'll find 6 small packs of Tropical Lulur Scrub. Each pack for one session of lulur. And a bottle of 60ml distilled Tanamera Rose Water. Add up about 40ml of water plus 10ml of rose water to the lulur. Mix and slap em up your body. Tunggu sampai half dry. Then silalah sental daki anda :D

Tropical Lulur Scrub falls under Tanamera's Natural Body Scrubs. Other variations of lulur are Tropical Boreh Scrub (for aching muscle and tiredness), Tropical Coffee Scrub (to break fatty deposit and prevent cellulite), Organic Brown Sugar Scrub (with ylang-ylang to relax and rejuvenate) and Himalayan Rock Salt Scrub. Price varies according to type. My next aim will be Tropical Coffee Scrub.

Having used only once the Tropical Lulur Scrub, I can only review the immediate after effect. Of course cleaner skin laa after daki-daki tanggal. A tad bit drying. But always apply body lotion after body scrub anyway. Smelling of spices, even after adding up Tanamera Rose Water. One thing Tanamera can improve is to include penyukat for the rose water. It says add up 10ml. Takde kekuasaan lah nak pegi cari syringe nak sukat bagai kan. I added up until it reached consistency of my liking.

Kacang Hijau Facial Scrub aaaannnndddd Black Rice Facial Mask. For mature and blemished skin. Ahem. I am 38, what do you expect kan. Other variations are Tanamera Mangir Facial Scrub (for oily, acne skin), Sengkuang Facial Scrub (for dull tired skin). I was torn between all three. I have occasional acne, I have blemished skin, my skin is mature, I have dull skin. But cannot tamak, can we? SA suggested Kacang Hijau Facial Scrub.

For facial mask, other variation includes Temu Facial Mask (for oily and acne prone skin) and Hibiscus Facial Mask (to soften and brighten skin).

The ones I bought comes in 4 small sachets. 1 sachets for 1 application. Memula scrub muka then pakai mask. Macam tu lah aturannya.

I used this one few days back. I tell you, sangat tingling sensation okay. Macam panas-panas sikit. I almost wash it up after 1-2 minutes. Tapi tahan ajelah kan. Kaler cam dull purple, maybe it contains beras pulut hitam kot. Smells nice tho. This kena tempek kat muka sampai kering. Bubuh kat leher jugak yer. See note - budak-budak bawah umur sila jangan pakai. The after effect, supple! Ingatkan muka jadi merah menyala but it didn't. Rasa supple and hydrate. Tak sia-sia menahan tingling itu.

As we know, green bean ni, the Koreans dah lama pakai as part of their beauty regime. Apart from ditempel ke muka, it can be soaked overnight and later use as hair wash. It claims to reduce dandruff. Haven't tried on my hair tho. I have no complaint on this scrub. Tempel and sental. Don't over do, kesian kulit muka tu kang.

My bill, after 20% - RM72. Kalau pakai weekly, the facial scrub and mask will last a month, body scrub for 1 and 1/2 month.

Tanamera's other offerings. Boleh tinjau tinjau kat www.tanamera.com.my. They're also having a Malaysia GP Sale 10th March - 15th April 2012, diskaun 20%. Good time to buy kalau nak try-try. Boleh order online here http://www.tranquilicespa.com.
