today not fasting he.. he.. terbangun lambat, tak sempat nak sahur. takde lah lewat sangat but not too early to have ample time to sahur but not too late that sempatlah goreng sebekas fries untuk bekal kakak.
anyway.
on the way tadi dengar hot chat hotFM. pasal buatan orang. as i had expected, ada aje manusia yang buat lawak 'buatan orang sampai perut buncit'. mengandung lah tu. i never found that as lawak btw. i have a story to share about this thing. me and Tebby memang suka makan dekat satu gerai near our office for breakfast. sampaikan bila kami turun keta je, sure mamat kedai tu prepare Nescafe-O (we ordered that almost every time). Yup, we were THAT fimiliar. one fateful day, as we settled ourselves mengadap nasi goreng+ayam goreng and our favorite Nescafe-O suam, one of the glasses blew up. my first remark was 'agaknya gelas dalam tu ada air panas pastu letak ais kat tepi tu, tu agaknya yang meletup tak pasal-pasal'. we happily took another portion as the glass was blown into pieces and landed everywhere on the table, including in our nasi goreng. and we ate like nothing happened, despite curious stares from others (which could have been translated into this -> wei, tak takut ke, gelas dah meletup pun masih makan kat situ lagi! *agaknya lahhh*) it took us quite sometime to realize that it could have been a 'bad' something sent to the gerai. you know, all the 'buatan orang'. lucky, the glass blew up. whether it was santau or merely purely coincidental, alhamdulillah, we were and still are okay.
whatever it is, whether buatan orang, gangguan syaitan or whatever evil there is, we should have some kind of pendinding diri. not all those tangkals or recitations that go against our religion. i remember when kakak was small, she used to cry every dusk. i have a grand-uncle who knew how to tacke things like that. menangis time senja, at same time everyday -> got the hint? (note that i used past-tense, he passed away about a year before. al-fatihah to Aki Salleh, who has helped us a lot when it comes to things like these). he'd recite some verses and gave us a supply of 'bonglai' (keluarga halia, lengkuas, kunyit - which has unpleasant taste). time senja somebody need to chew the bonglai and sembur to poor kakak. he.. he.. as I was in confinement, I need to jaga with what I eat right. so tebby had the 'privilege' of doing so (berkerut-kerut muka dia he.. he..)
whereas for Iman, alhamdulillah, nothing of that sorts happened when he was small. kalau nangis aje, tandanya nak 'bergantung' lah tu. you see, my milk-supply used to help sooth him many-many times! even now, kalau dia nak berdukung tu, watch-out where his hands would go...
